Bis(Sulfosuccinimidyl) glutarate (BS2G) is a water soluble homobifunctional crosslinker. The BS2G 5-atom (7.7 angstrom) spacer is non-cleavable and the molecule is not cell membrane permeable. The Sulfo-NHS esters are amino reactive and can be used to label cell surface proteins.
